What are biodegradable baby wipes?

Biodegradable baby wipes are made from materials that can be broken down by microorganisms into natural substances such as water, carbon dioxide and biomass. They typically use plant-based fibres instead of the plastic-based fibres found in many standard wipes.

What's the difference between biodegradable and compostable baby wipes?

Biodegradable means a material can break down eventually, with a timeline that depends on where it ends up. Compostable is more specific: the material is designed to break down into non-toxic components within a defined timeframe under compost conditions. The Kinder Clean fibres are certified 100% biodegradable and compostable to EN 13432.

Are The Kinder Clean wipes safe for sensitive skin?

Many standard wipes include fragrance, alcohol or preservatives that can irritate sensitive skin. The Kinder Clean wipes are fragrance-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free and dermatologically tested, with a simple 99% naturally derived formula designed specifically to avoid unnecessary irritants.

Can I flush The Kinder Clean wipes?

No. Even though the wipes are biodegradable, they should not be flushed. Dispose of used wipes in the rubbish bin.

Can I use these wipes on surfaces other than skin?

Yes. In addition to hands, mouth and face, the wipes are suitable for bottles, pacifiers, teething toys and high chairs.

Do I need to rinse after using The Kinder Clean wipes?

No. The Kinder Clean wipes are no-rinse: they're safe to use directly on hands, face, mouth, bottles, pacifiers and high chairs without needing to wash the area afterward.

It started with an ingredient list we couldn't read

We're a small team in The Hague that got tired of choosing between wipes that were gentle and wipes that actually worked. So we built the pack we wanted for our own families: fewer ingredients, honest labelling, biodegradable fabric, no compromise on the clean.
